Best of Times

We have moved to American Fork. It was an amazing thing. We applied to several different places with no response. We decided that we weren't meant to move and had about given up hope when a lady called about a house that was one of the first ones Bryan called about and left a message. She had been out of town for a couple of weeks and had just gotten back. We looked at the house, loved it, and turned in the application. We also decided if it didn't work out we weren't meant to move. We had less than a week to pack up, and a day to move all our stuff. It is times like that that you realize you have a lot of stuff. I just want to thank all the people that helped us that very long day.
So now we are settling in and liking it. It has taking Makayla a while to get used to it, but once we found her toys she seems to be enjoying being here more. She is starting to look through the cupboards and take out all the stuff she can, especially if it is food.
All-in-all we are very happy we have moved. We are hoping we will be here for a long while.

New Living Quarters

In order to save on gas, we have moved closer to work. We spent all day Tuesday moving and we are feeling it. I picked up the U-Haul truck at 10:30am, and with the help of My dad, my sister Lindsey, my neighbor Andy, and my friends Zuke, and Steve we had most of the place packed into the moving truck, a pickup truck, and two cars by 4:30pm. After that, there were two more pickup truck loads, and Heidi and I were all packed in by 2:30am then next morning :D YAY. I would like to thank all of you that helped in the moving process. I would especially like to thank Zuke and Mel for coming over last night to help unpack. It was a great blessing. The family room would have taken days to look how it looks now, and I'm sure the same applies with the kitchen. :D

Kyle Kurt Schmidt

Kyle Kurt Schmidt was born on April 15th, 2008 at 10:44 pm. He weighed 7lbs 6oz and was 19in long at the time of his birth. He is as attentive as his big sister was when she was born. We are so very happy that he has made it to us in good time and very healthy! More pictures to come! :D

Wow it's been a while

We need to get better at blogging. To catch everyone up, Heidi is 28 weeks along and we found out in December that it is going to be a boy! We are thinking of naming him Kyle. Makayla is 8 months old now and barely starting to crawl. I think she would rather walk though. She gets frustrated at how slow she moves on her belly. I'm working on getting more pictures and videos up, so bear with us.

No more home phone :(

For the past year we have had our home phone number through a VOIP (Voice Over IP) service called SunRocket. We have recently been having troubles with it and today we found out why: On Monday they jumped ship with no prior warning whatsoever. So now I am in the research mode again, trying to find the best VOIP deal for us. So far I'm looking at ViaTalk. But we'll see who we end up with in the end. Details on that later. Read up on the most current research on this issue at my personal blog.

New job and more adventure

I just got hired on as a server at Marie Callendar's near our house. I will continue to work at Cybersource full-time, while I make extra money in the evenings and weekends at MC. I used to work there before I met Heidi about 5 years ago, and I loved it, so I wanted to try it again.

New Callings

Heidi and I have received a calling to be on the Ward Activities Committee. We will probably be set apart next week or the week after. We are also working on blessing Makayla on the first week of August (Aug 5th). Today was the first time we have been to our ward since two weeks before Makayla was born! Everyone was so excited to see us. We didn't make it to the Sacrament meeting, but it is an improvement. Maybe next week we'll get to hear a few talks. :D
